Buttermilk Pancakes
Share
Growing up this was the breakfast we had every single Sunday. My grandma’s buttermilk pancakes. Light, fluffy pancakes with syrup dripping down the sides. It was incredibly easy getting up in the morning those Sundays with the smell wafting through the house.
Today I plan on walking you through how I prep it all so mornings are easier for me and of course, the recipe.
How I prep pancakes for easier mornings..
Mornings can be hard for me… there I said it. I for one, and really not a morning person, I wish I was. I almost envy the people who can get up with bright shining faces and talk to their loved ones with tender care and love. I however, roll out of bed like a frizzled gargoyle and annoyed when spoken to too early. (Like I said I wish I was different) BUT….Give me about 30 minutes to an hour and I'm an entirely different person.
So needless to say when my boys wake up and are demanding food immediately it takes a lot of effort to make breakfast. We don’t really do cereals in this house, so it's usually toast, pancakes, waffles or French toast. I was looking for ways to make it easier so I wouldn’t have to get all my out every time. And then I realized I could make breakfast so simple it's actually ridiculous.
By pouring dry ingredients in mason jars it has allowed me to just dump the contents, add eggs, buttermilk, milk, and mix!
I have done this with pancakes and waffles and it has really been a morning life saver.
